An Announcement!

Online Training for Counsellors Ltd is delighted to announce the General Certificate in Online Counselling Skills is now Quality Checked by the National Counselling Society.

NCS play an important role within the profession of counselling in the UK and in May 2013 the Society was one of the first organisations to gain Accredited Register status with the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register programme. As you know the Professional Standards Authority is here to protect the public and help ensure their health and wellbeing.

Quality Checked status for the General Certificate in Online Counselling Skills, also confirms that Online Training for Counsellors Ltd is committed to abide by the NCS’s Code of Ethics and Complaints Procedure. Students and graduates of the course can now benefit from direct entry to NCS membership and will not have to pay a joining fee, with their membership rate remaining the same throughout their membership term. There are also no extra fees for upgrading membership status as members progress throughout their career.

This is just the latest confirmation of Online Training for Counsellors commitment to providing our students with the very best learning experience and quality-assured training. We are really happy to be working with the NCS and look forward to building a long and successful relationship with the Society in the coming months and years.

As stated on the NCS website, with regards to training, the Society’s “primary role is the advancement of counselling and a part of this role is the support and encouragement of all our training providers.

The NCS believe that “achieving recognition of your courses is essential, as it gives confirmation of your professional standing to both your peers and your students and gives your organisation a voice in the future of our profession.”
